When you beg the LORD for help, he will answer, “Here I am!” Don't ill-treat others or falsely accuse them or say something cruel.

But Eli told him, “Samuel, my boy, come here!” “Here I am,” Samuel answered.

When the LORD called out his name for the third time, Samuel went to Eli again and said, “Here I am. What do you want?” Eli finally realized that it was the LORD who was speaking to Samuel.

Again the LORD called out Samuel's name. Samuel got up and went to Eli. “Here I am,” he said. “What do you want?” Eli told him, “Son, I didn't call you. Go back to sleep.”

when the LORD called out Samuel's name. “Here I am!” Samuel answered.

When the LORD saw Moses coming near the bush, he called him by name, and Moses answered, “Here I am.”

and he told them: Your father isn't as friendly with me as he used to be, but the God my ancestors worshipped has been on my side.

Some years later God decided to test Abraham, so he spoke to him. Abraham answered, “Here I am, LORD.”

The LORD said to himself, “I should tell Abraham what I am going to do,

One hot summer afternoon Abraham was sitting by the entrance to his tent near the sacred trees of Mamre, when the LORD appeared to him.

While Pilate was judging the case, his wife sent him a message. It said, “Don't have anything to do with that innocent man. I have had nightmares because of him.”

But the LORD's angel shouted from heaven, “Abraham! Abraham!” “Here I am!” he answered.

The LORD's angel called out from heaven a second time:

Once, when the flocks were mating, I dreamed that all the rams were either spotted or speckled.

But God appeared to Laban in a dream that night and warned, “Don't say a word to Jacob. Don't make a threat or a promise.”

One day, Joseph told his brothers what he had dreamed, and they hated him even more.

That night, God spoke to him and said, “Jacob! Jacob!” “Here I am,” Jacob answered.

Then after commanding them to listen carefully, he said: “I, the LORD, speak to prophets in visions and dreams.
