While David was king, there were three years in a row when the nation of Israel could not grow enough food. So David asked the LORD for help, and the LORD answered, “Saul and his family are guilty of murder, because he had the Gibeonites killed.”

Why are you far away, LORD? Why do you hide yourself when I am in trouble?

Jethro offered sacrifices to God. Then Aaron and Israel's leaders came to eat with Jethro there at the place of worship.

When they arrived, Moses went out and bowed down in front of Jethro, then kissed him. After they had greeted each other, they went into the tent,

and after leaving Mount Sinai, they stopped wearing jewellery.

Each time Moses went out to the tent, everyone would stand at the entrance to their own tents and watch him enter.

The LORD never even hears the prayers of the wicked, but he answers the prayers of all who obey him.

Your sins are the roadblock between you and your God. That's why he doesn't answer your prayers or let you see his face.

Even if you do have children, I will take them all and leave you to mourn. I will turn away, and you will sink down in deep trouble.

In all your troubles, you may finally decide that you want to worship only the LORD. And if you turn back to him and obey him completely, he will again be your God.

He also serves as the priest in the most holy place inside the real tent there in heaven. This tent of worship was set up by the Lord, not by humans.
