but the LORD chose you because he loves you and because he had made a promise to your ancestors. Then with his mighty arm, he rescued you from the king of Egypt, who had made you his slaves.

so tell the Israelites that I am saying: You have disgraced my holy name among the nations where you now live. So you don't deserve what I'm going to do for you. I will lead you home to bring honour to my name

I rescued you from Egypt, where you were slaves. I sent Moses, Aaron, and Miriam to be your leaders.

You will keep your word and be faithful to Jacob and to Abraham, as you promised our ancestors many years ago.

The LORD your God wins victory after victory and is always with you. He celebrates and sings because of you, and he will refresh your life with his love.”

Israel, I, the LORD, have loved you. And yet you ask in what way have I loved you. Don't forget that Esau was the brother of your ancestor Jacob, but I chose Jacob

The Lord made this promise to our ancestors, to Abraham and his family for ever!

The people of Israel are treated as God's enemies, so that the good news can come to you Gentiles. But they are still the chosen ones, and God loves them because of their famous ancestors.

I give you this land, just as I promised your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Now you must go and take the land.

Yet the LORD loved your ancestors and wanted them to belong to him. So he chose them and their descendants rather than any other nation, and today you are still his people.

Don't even think of signing a peace treaty with Moab or Ammon.

The LORD loves the tribes of Israel, and he protects his people. They listen to his words and worship at his feet.

But you are the LORD's people, because he led you through fiery trials and rescued you from Egypt.

The LORD loved your ancestors and decided that you would be his people. So the LORD used his great power to bring you out of Egypt.

I am the LORD your God, the one who brought you out of Egypt where you were slaves.

We love because God loved us first.

But the LORD has chosen you to be his own people. He will always take care of you so that everyone will know how great he is.
