Punish them as they deserve; this is the privilege of God's faithful people. Shout praises to the LORD!

All who belong to the LORD, show how you love him. The LORD protects the faithful, but he severely punishes everyone who is proud.

Whenever your enemies refuse to change their ways, you sharpen your sword and string your bow.

Your deadly arrows are ready with flaming tips.

Don't bow down and worship idols. I am the LORD your God, and I demand all your love. If you reject me, I will punish your families for three or four generations.

I am the LORD All-Powerful, the mighty ruler of Israel, and I make you a promise: you are now my enemy, and I will show my anger by taking revenge on you.

The LORD God demands loyalty. In his anger, he takes revenge on his enemies.

People of Ethiopia, the sword of the LORD will slaughter you!

It began just as God had said in the book written by Isaiah the prophet, “I am sending my messenger to get the way ready for you.

say cruel things about others, and hate God. They are proud, conceited, and boastful, always thinking up new ways to do evil. These people don't respect their parents.

Our desires fight against God, because they do not and cannot obey God's laws.

Soon our enemies will get what they deserve— suddenly they will slip, and total disaster will quickly follow.

Don't bow down and worship idols. I am the LORD your God, and I demand all your love. If you reject me and worship idols, I will punish your families for three or four generations.

But if you turn against the LORD, he will quickly destroy you.

They will be sneaky, reckless, and puffed up with pride. Instead of loving God, they will love pleasure.
