You are kindhearted, and you do good things, so teach me your laws.

and accept your worship. Then I will gather you from all the nations where I scattered you, and you will return to Jerusalem.

Some day I will let my people from both Israel and Judah return to the land I gave their ancestors.”

When that happens, all nations on earth will see the good things I have done for Jerusalem, and how I have given it complete peace. The nations will celebrate and praise and honour me, but they will also tremble with fear.

Children will be born, and animals will give birth to their young. You will no longer be deserted as you are now, but you will be covered with people and treated better than ever. Then you will know that I am the LORD.

I will once again answer your prayers, and I will let your nation grow until you are like a large flock of sheep.

Hobab the Midianite, the father-in-law of Moses, was there. And Moses said to him, “We're leaving for the place the LORD has promised us. He has said that all will go well for us. So come along, and we will make sure that all goes well for you.”

The LORD will love you and bless you by giving you many children and plenty of food, wine, and olive oil. Your herds of cattle will have many calves, and your flocks of sheep will have many lambs.
