Deuteronomy 27:9

Moses stood together with the priests and said, “Israel, be quiet and listen to me! Today you have become the people of the LORD your God.

You have chosen Israel to be your people for ever, and you have become their God.

Now you have been set free from sin, and you are God's slaves. This will make you holy and will lead you to eternal life.

So you must obey his laws and teachings that I am giving you.”
