Now I'll tell you the laws and teachings that you have to obey as long as you live. Your ancestors worshipped the LORD, and he is giving you this land.

In fact, everyone who hears about your laws will say, “That great nation certainly is wise!” And what makes us greater than other nations? We have a God who is close to us and answers our prayers.

Moses called together the people of Israel and said: Today I am telling you the laws and teachings that you must follow, so listen carefully.
