Here is a message for the leaders of Philistia and Egypt— tell everyone to come together on the hills of Samaria. Let them see the injustice and the lawlessness in that city.

Don't tell it in Gath or spread the news in the streets of Ashkelon. The godless Philistine women will be happy and jump for joy.

We'll take their valuables and fill our homes with stolen goods.

A gracious woman will be respected, but a man must work hard to get rich.

I looked again and saw people being ill-treated everywhere on earth. They were crying, but no one was there to offer comfort, and those who ill-treated them were powerful.

Do you rulers in Jerusalem and in the city of Samaria feel safe and at ease? Everyone bows down to you, and you think you are better than any other nation. But you are in for trouble!

You are cruel, and you forget the coming day of judgment.

and mix dust in the grain. Those who are needy and poor don't have any money. We will make them our slaves for the price of a pair of sandals.”

You store up stolen treasures and use dishonest scales.
