Greetings from Claudius Lysias to the Honourable Governor Felix:
They wrote a letter that said: We apostles and leaders send friendly greetings to all you Gentiles who are followers of the Lord in Antioch, Syria, and Cilicia.
But Paul replied, “Honourable Festus, I am not mad. What I am saying is true, and it makes sense.
All of us are always grateful for what you have done.
So I made a careful study of everything and then decided to write and tell you exactly what took place. Honourable Theophilus,
I hope to see you soon, and then we can talk in person.
From James, a servant of God and of our Lord Jesus Christ. Greetings to the twelve tribes scattered all over the world.
Get a horse ready for Paul and make sure that he gets safely through to Felix the governor.”
The commander wrote a letter that said:
When they came to Caesarea, they gave the letter to the governor and handed Paul over to him.
