David knew this would happen, and so he told us that Christ would be raised to life. He said that God would not leave him in the grave or let his body decay.

People of Capernaum, do you think you will be honoured in heaven? You will go down to hell! If the miracles that took place in your town had happened in Sodom, that town would still be standing.

And in another psalm it says, “God will never let the body of his Holy One decay.”

The Lord won't leave me in the grave. I am his holy one, and he won't let my body decay.

He was buried, and three days later he was raised to life, as the Scriptures say.

Long ago the Scriptures said that God would accept the Gentiles because of their faith. That's why God told Abraham the good news that all nations would be blessed because of him.
