But before Jesus came, John was telling everyone in Israel to turn back to God and be baptized.

You know what happened everywhere in Judea. It all began in Galilee after John had told everyone to be baptized.

You, my son, will be called a prophet of God in heaven above. You will go ahead of the Lord to get everything ready for him.

This is the good news about Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
