Rachel was buried beside the road to Ephrath, which is also called Bethlehem.

The Three Warriors sneaked into the Philistine camp and got some water from the well near Bethlehem's gate. But after they brought the water back to David, he refused to drink it. Instead, he poured it out as a sacrifice

and he said, “I'm very thirsty. I wish I had a drink of water from the well by the gate to Bethlehem.”

I long for you to rescue me! Your word is my only hope.

You are my God. I worship you. In my heart, I long for you, as I would long for a stream in a scorching desert.

When the poor and needy are dying of thirst and cannot find water, I, the LORD God of Israel, will come to their rescue. I won't forget them.

I will bless the thirsty land by sending streams of water; I will bless your descendants by giving them my Spirit.

Jesus answered, “You don't know what God wants to give you, and you don't know who is asking you for a drink. If you did, you would ask me for the water that gives life.”

But no one who drinks the water I give will ever be thirsty again. The water I give is like a flowing fountain that gives eternal life.”

On the last and most important day of the festival, Jesus stood up and shouted, “If you are thirsty, come to me and drink!
