The people of Jerusalem were crying and moaning as David and everyone with him passed by. He led them across Kidron Valley and along the road towards the desert.

“Then come on!” David said. So Ittai and all his men and their families walked on past David.

I'll wait at the river crossing in the desert until I hear from you.

“What's all this?” David asked. Ziba said, “The donkeys are for your family to ride. The bread and fruit are for the people to eat, and the wine is for them to drink in the desert when they are tired out.”

As John grew up, God's Spirit gave him great power. John lived in the desert until the time he was sent to the people of Israel.

When Jesus had finished praying, he and his disciples crossed the Kidron Valley and went into a garden.

When others are happy, be happy with them, and when they are sad, be sad.
