“How much longer will you enjoy being stupid fools? Won't you ever stop sneering and laughing at knowledge?

Make fun of wisdom, and you will never find it. But if you have understanding, knowledge comes easily.

The LORD sneers at those who sneer at him, but he is kind to everyone who is humble.

You rulers of Jerusalem do nothing but sneer; now you must listen to what the LORD says.

All who are cruel and arrogant will be gone for ever. Those who live by crime will disappear,

And you say, “Let the holy God of Israel hurry up and do what he has promised, so we can see it for ourselves.”

On the day their king was crowned, his officials got him drunk, and he joined in their foolishness.

But everyone who rejects me and my teachings will be judged on the last day by what I have said.

We don't do shameful things that must be kept secret. And we don't try to fool anyone or twist God's message around. God is our witness that we speak only the truth, so others will be sure that we can be trusted.

You can be certain that in the last days there will be some very hard times.

But now at last, God sent his Son to bring his message to us. God created the universe by his Son, and everything will some day belong to the Son.

But you need to realize that no one alone can understand any of the prophecies in the Scriptures.

The Lord is especially hard on people who disobey him and don't think of anything except their own filthy desires. They are reckless and proud and are not afraid of cursing the glorious beings in heaven.

Children, this is the last hour. You heard that the enemy of Christ would appear at this time, and many of Christ's enemies have already appeared. So we know that the last hour is here.

These people grumble and complain and live by their own selfish desires. They boast about themselves and flatter others to get what they want.

They told you that near the end of time, selfish and godless people would start making fun of God.
