As the Syrian army came closer, Elisha prayed, “LORD, make those soldiers blind!” And the LORD blinded them with a bright light.

Then they struck everyone in the crowd blind, and none of them could even find the door.

Elisha told the enemy troops, “You've taken the wrong road and are in the wrong town. Follow me. I'll lead you to the man you're looking for.” Elisha led them straight to the capital city of Samaria.

Darkness is their only companion, hiding their path at midday.

But I am the LORD God of Judah, and I will have mercy and save Judah by my own power—not by wars and arrows or swords and cavalry.”

The Lord is going to punish you by making you completely blind for a while.” Suddenly the man's eyes were covered by a dark mist, and he went around trying to get someone to lead him by the hand.

This means that only a chosen few of the people of Israel found what all of them were searching for. And the rest of them were stubborn,

You will become insane and go blind. The LORD will make you so confused,
