Hezekiah son of Ahaz became king of Judah in the third year of Hoshea's rule in Israel.

In the twentieth year of Jotham's rule in Judah, Hoshea son of Elah plotted against Pekah and murdered him. Hoshea then became king of Israel.

He was twenty years old at the time, and he ruled from Jerusalem for sixteen years. Ahaz wasn't like his ancestor David. Instead, he disobeyed the LORD

Ahaz died and was buried beside his ancestors in Jerusalem, and his son Hezekiah became king.

Hoshea son of Elah became king of Israel in the twelfth year of Ahaz's rule in Judah, and he ruled nine years from Samaria.

After that, Hezekiah and the crowd of worshippers knelt down and worshipped the LORD.
