At a wedding the groom is the one who gets married. The best man is glad just to be there and to hear the groom's voice. That's why I am so glad.

So I plan to stop off on my way to Spain. Then after a short, but refreshing, stay with you, I hope you will quickly send me on.

I remember how you cried, and I want to see you, because that will make me truly happy.

Please get a room ready for me. I hope your prayers will be answered, and I can visit you.

I especially want you to pray that I can visit you again soon.

By now you must know that our friend Timothy is out of jail. If he gets here in time, I will bring him with me when I come to visit you.

We are writing to tell you these things, because this makes us truly happy.

So if I come, I will remind him of how he has been attacking us with gossip. Not only has he been doing this, but he refuses to welcome any of the Lord's followers who come by. And when other church members want to welcome them, he puts them out of the church.
