My friends, God has made us these promises. So we should stay away from everything that keeps our bodies and spirits from being clean. We should honour God and try to be completely like him.

God didn't choose you to be filthy, but to be pure.

Dear friends, you are foreigners and strangers on this earth. So I beg you not to surrender to those desires that fight against you.

If you respect the LORD, you will hate evil. I hate pride and conceit and deceitful lies.

Come near to God, and he will come near to you. Clean up your lives, you sinners. Purify your hearts, you people who can't make up your mind.

Create pure thoughts in me and make me faithful again.

This hope makes us keep ourselves holy, just as Christ is holy.

I pray that God, who gives peace, will make you completely holy. And may your spirit, soul, and body be kept healthy and faultless until our Lord Jesus Christ returns.

You obeyed the truth, and your souls were made pure. Now you sincerely love each other. But you must keep on loving with all your heart.

Give up your crooked ways and your evil thoughts. Return to the LORD our God. He will be merciful and forgive your sins.

God paid a great price for you. So use your body to honour God.

But if we live in the light, as God does, we share in life with each other. And the blood of his Son Jesus washes all our sins away.

The promise to enter the place of rest is still good, and we must take care that none of you miss out.

If we truly love God, our sins will be forgiven; if we show him respect, we will keep away from sin.

But you must always act like your Father in heaven.

God blesses those people whose hearts are pure. They will see him!

Young people can live a clean life by obeying your word.

But if we confess our sins to God, he can always be trusted to forgive us and take our sins away.

Once we were also ruled by the selfish desires of our bodies and minds. We had made God angry, and we were going to be punished like everyone else.

The Law came, so that the full power of sin could be seen. Yet where sin was powerful, God's kindness was even more powerful.

Wash yourselves clean! I am disgusted with your filthy deeds. Stop doing wrong

others think they are perfect, but they are stained by sin.

But God shows undeserved kindness to everyone. That's why he appointed Christ Jesus to choose you to share in his eternal glory. You will suffer for a while, but God will make you complete, steady, strong, and firm.

We should be grateful that we were given a kingdom that cannot be shaken. And in this kingdom we please God by worshipping him and by showing him great honour and respect.

Here you will find all God's dearest children, whose names are written in heaven. And you will find God himself, who judges everyone. Here also are the spirits of those good people who have been made perfect.

And when our Lord comes with all his people, I pray that he will make your hearts pure and innocent in the sight of God the Father.

Christ says “Yes” to all of God's promises. That's why we have Christ to say “Amen” for us to the glory of God.

The church in Judea, Galilee, and Samaria now had a time of peace and kept on worshipping the Lord. The church became stronger, as the Holy Spirit encouraged it and helped it grow.

A good tree produces only good fruit, and a bad tree produces bad fruit. You can tell what a tree is like by the fruit it produces.

But Jerusalem, there is still time for you to be saved. Wash the evil from your hearts and stop making sinful plans,

Can any of us really say, “My thoughts are pure, and my sins are gone”?

Worshipping the LORD is sacred; he will always be worshipped. All of his decisions are correct and fair.

He told them: Faithfully serve the LORD!

Rid yourself of all worry and pain, because the wonderful moments of youth quickly disappear.

My friends, we are talking this way. But we are sure that you are doing those really good things that people do when they are being saved.

Always live as God's holy people should, because God is the one who chose you, and he is holy.

You say that God is your Father, but God doesn't have favourites! He judges all people by what they do. So you must honour God while you live as strangers here on earth.

Even if the spot completely disappears after being washed, it must be washed again before it is clean.
