We won't dare compare ourselves with those who think so much of themselves. But they are foolish to compare themselves with themselves.

Don't boast about yourself— let others praise you.

In fact, all I will talk about is how Christ let me speak and work, so that the Gentiles would obey him.

Those people had better understand that when I am with you, I will do exactly what I say in my letters.

You may boast about yourself, but the only approval that counts is the Lord's approval.

Are we once again boasting about ourselves? Do we need letters to you or from you to tell others about us? Some people do need letters that tell about them.

We are not trying once more to boast about ourselves. But we want you to be proud of us, when you are with those who are not sincere and boast about what others think of them.
