So Solomon became king after David his father. Solomon was successful, and everyone in Israel obeyed him.

The LORD made Solomon a great king, and the whole nation was amazed at how famous he was. In fact, no other king of Israel was as great as Solomon.

They wrote about his powerful rule and about the things that happened not only to him, but also to Israel and the other nations.

People brought offerings to Jerusalem for the LORD and expensive gifts for Hezekiah, and from that day on, every nation on earth respected Hezekiah.

God replied, “I will be with you. And you will know that I am the one who sent you, when you worship me on this mountain after you have led my people out of Egypt.”

and teach them to do everything I have told you. I will be with you always, even until the end of the world.

The LORD told Joshua, “Beginning today I will show the people that you are their leader, and they will know that I am helping you as I helped Moses.
