Then Saul told his officers, “Find me a woman who can talk to the spirits of the dead. I'll go to her and find out what's going to happen.” His servants told him, “There's a woman at Endor who can talk to spirits of the dead.”

Before Elisha finished talking, the messenger came up and said, “The LORD has made all these terrible things happen to us. Why should I think he will help us now?”

Saul died because he was unfaithful and disobeyed the LORD. He even asked advice from a woman who talked to spirits of the dead,

near Endor, and let their bodies rot.

“Egypt will be discouraged when I confuse their plans. They will try to get advice from their idols, from the spirits of the dead, and from fortune-tellers.

Don't make yourselves disgusting to me by going to people who claim they can talk to the dead.
