Why are you after me? Have I done something wrong, or have I committed a crime?
Rulers are cruel to me for no reason. But with all my heart I respect your words,
I did them no harm, but they hid a net to trap me, and they dug a deep pit to catch and kill me.
There are more people who hate me for no reason than there are hairs on my head. Many terrible enemies want to destroy me, God. Am I supposed to give back something I didn't steal?
Then I continued, “Your Majesty, why have you put me in prison? Have I committed a crime against you or your officials or the nation?
But he said, “I have shown you many good things that my Father sent me to do. Which one are you going to stone me for?”
Jesus answered, “If I have done something wrong, say so. But if not, why did you hit me?”
Can any of you accuse me of sin? If you cannot, why won't you have faith in me? After all, I am telling you the truth.
“Now what have I done?” David answered. “Can't I even ask a question?”
David escaped from Prophets Village. Then he ran to see Jonathan and asked, “Why does your father Saul want to kill me? What have I done wrong?”
and said: Your Majesty, why do you listen to people who say that I'm trying to harm you?
