“Why have you tricked me this way?” Saul asked Michal. “You helped my enemy get away!” She answered, “He said he would kill me if I didn't help him escape!”

Absalom's soldiers came to the woman and demanded, “Where are Ahimaaz and Jonathan?” The woman answered, “They went across the stream.” The soldiers went off to look for the two men. But when they did not find the men, they went back to Jerusalem.

Abner said, “If you don't turn back, I'll have to kill you! Then I could never face your brother Joab again.”

When the woman saw Samuel, she screamed. Then she turned to Saul and said, “You've tricked me! You're the king!”
