They told the people that it was a day to go without eating, and when they all came together, they seated Naboth at the front.

King Joash forgot that Zechariah's father had always been a loyal friend. When Herod found out that the wise men from the east had tricked him, he was very angry. He gave orders for his men to kill all the boys who lived in or near Bethlehem and were two years old and younger. This was based on what he had learnt from the wise men.

Peter and John answered, “Do you think God wants us to obey you or to obey him?

Saul shouted to his bodyguards, “These priests of the LORD helped David! They knew he was running away, but they didn't tell me. Kill them!” But the king's officers would not attack the priests of the LORD.
