Jezebel wrote a letter to each of the leaders of the town where Naboth lived. In the letters she said: Call everyone together and tell them to go without eating today. A city without wise leaders will end up in ruin; a city with many wise leaders will be kept safe.

Try hard to do right, and you will win friends; go looking for trouble, and you will find it.

All they think about and talk about is violence and cruelty.

They are always thinking up something cruel and evil, and they stir up trouble.

The two kings will meet around a table and tell evil lies to each other. But their plans will fail, because God has already decided what will happen.
