Some time after sunset, when it was very dark, a smoking cooking pot and a flaming fire went between the two halves of each animal.

The LORD immediately sent fire, and it burnt up the sacrifice, the wood, and the stones. It scorched the ground everywhere around the altar and dried up every drop of water in the ditch.

“If I am a man of God,” Elijah answered, “God will send down fire on you and your fifty soldiers.” Fire immediately came down from heaven and burnt up the officer and his men.

Elijah and Elisha were walking along and talking, when suddenly there appeared between them a flaming chariot pulled by fiery horses. Straight away, a strong wind took Elijah up into heaven.

so don't be afraid of me or what I might do.

It stopped and stood still. Then a form appeared— a shapeless form. And from the silence, I heard a voice say,

There an angel of the LORD appeared to him from a burning bush. Moses saw that the bush was on fire, but it was not burning up.

Then he passed in front of Moses and called out, “I am the LORD God. I am merciful and very patient with my people. I show great love, and I can be trusted.

So the angel explained that it was the following message of the LORD to Zerubbabel: I am the LORD All-Powerful. So don't depend on your own power or strength, but on my Spirit.

Suddenly there was a noise from heaven like the sound of a mighty wind! It filled the house where they were meeting.

When God spoke to you from the fire, he was invisible. So be careful

Our God is like a destructive fire!
