Zephaniah 3:13

The people of Israel who survive will live right and refuse to tell lies. They will eat and rest with nothing to fear.

They never tell lies, and they are innocent.

The Lord God hasn't forgotten those survivors in Judah, and he will help them— his people will take your land to use for pasture. And when evening comes, they will rest in houses at Ashkelon. *

Then the lame and the outcasts will belong to my people and become a strong nation. I, the Lord, will rule them from Mount Zion forever.

Your people will live right and always own the land; they are the trees I planted to bring praise to me.

Everyone will find rest beneath their own fig trees or grape vines, and they will live in peace. This is a solemn promise of the Lord All-Powerful.

The villages around Aroer will be deserted, with only sheep living there and no one to bother them.

When Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward him, he said, “Here is a true descendant of our ancestor Israel. And he isn't deceitful.”

I am the Lord your God. And you will know I live on Zion, my sacred hill, because Jerusalem will be sacred, untouched by foreign troops.

They will live safely in their own land, but will be ashamed when they remember their evil ways and how they disgraced me.

Here is the new agreement that I, the Lord, will make with the people of Israel: “I will write my laws on their hearts and minds. I will be their God, and they will be my people.

Israel, you belong to me, so don't be afraid. You deserved to be punished; that's why I scattered you in distant nations. But I am with you, and someday I will destroy those nations.

I promise to choose leaders who will care for them like real shepherds. All of my people will be there, and they will never again be frightened.

You will be built on fairness with no fears of injustice; every one of your worries will be taken far from you.

But nothing unworthy will be allowed to enter. No one who is dirty-minded or who tells lies will be there. Only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life will be in the city.

But I will tell you what will happen to cowards and to everyone who is unfaithful or dirty-minded or who murders or is sexually immoral or uses witchcraft or worships idols or tells lies. They will be thrown into that lake of fire and burning sulfur. This is the second death.

We are sure God's children do not keep on sinning. God's own Son protects them, and the devil cannot harm them.

Even if you have to suffer for doing good things, God will bless you. So stop being afraid and don't worry about what people might do.

And stop lying to each other. You have given up your old way of life with its habits.

The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will gather from his kingdom everyone who does wrong or causes others to sin.

Lead your people, Lord! Come and be our shepherd. Grasslands surround us, but we live in a forest. So lead us to Bashan and Gilead, and let us find pasture as we did long ago.

I, the Lord, live on Mount Zion. I will punish the guilty and defend the innocent.

My people will worship me. Then the coastlands of Sharon and the land as far as Achor Valley will turn into pastureland where cattle and sheep will feed and rest.

The Lord rescued his people, and said, “They are mine. They won't betray me.”

A good road will be there, and it will be named “God's Sacred Highway.” It will be for God's people; no one unfit to worship God will walk on that road. And no fools can travel on that highway.

If only a tenth of the people are left, even they will be destroyed. But just as stumps remain after trees have been cut down, some of my chosen ones will be left.

You let me rest in fields of green grass. You lead me to streams of peaceful water,

I will bless your country with peace, and you will rest without fear. I will wipe out the dangerous animals and protect you from enemy attacks.

You will sleep without fear and be greatly respected.

“Come and save me, Lord, from deceitful liars!”

What punishment is fitting for you deceitful liars?

All who do evil are shameless, but the Lord does right and is always fair. With the dawn of each day, God brings about justice.

I will return to Jerusalem and live there on Mount Zion. Then Jerusalem will be known as my faithful city, and Zion will be known as my holy mountain.

But you must be truthful with each other, and in court you must give fair decisions that lead to peace.

to invade Judah. The Lord let Jehoshaphat's kingdom be at peace.

Instead, I will make sure that your crops are planted in peace and your vineyards are fruitful, that your fields are fertile, and the dew falls from the sky.
