But I, the Lord All-Powerful, will rescue and protect them. I will bring peace to their land and trouble to yours.

Get out of Babylon! Run for your lives! If you stay, you will be killed when I take revenge on the city and punish it for its sins.

Then the crowd shouted, “Praise the Lord! Smoke will never stop rising from her burning body.”

Yet in a single hour her riches disappeared.” Every ship captain and passenger and sailor stood at a distance, together with everyone who does business by traveling on the sea.

On that day, Leviathan, the sea monster, will squirm and try to escape, but the Lord will kill him with a cruel, sharp sword.

In one day he cut off their head and tail, their leaves and branches.

The Lord God leads this army of countless troops, and they obey his commands. The day of his judgment is so terrible that no one can stand it.
