And it doesn't matter if one is helpless and the other is powerful. Don't be afraid of anyone! No matter who shows up in your court, God will help you make a fair decision. If any case is too hard for you, bring the people to me, and I will make the decision.

It's wrong to favor the guilty and keep the innocent from getting justice.

Some of them were supposed to be important leaders, but I didn't care who they were. God doesn't have any favorites! None of these so-called special leaders added anything to my message.

I feel like a shaky fence or a sagging wall. How long will all of you attack and assault me?

And God created us all; he has no favorites, whether rich or poor.

So do your work in honor of him and know that he won't allow you to be unfair to anyone or to take bribes.

I don't know how to be unfair or to flatter anyone—

The Lord God said: You leaders of Israel have cheated and abused my people long enough! I want you to stop sinning and start doing what is right and fair. You must never again force my people off their own land. I, the Lord, have spoken.
