But you, Israel's God, created all things, and you chose Israel to be your very own. Your name is the Lord All-Powerful.

but the Lord himself takes care of Israel.

struck down by fear. Our Lord, your powerful arm kept them still as a rock until the people you rescued to be your very own had marched by.

The people you rescued were led by your powerful love to your holy place.

He chose the family of Jacob and the people of Israel for his very own.

But you are the Lord's people, because he rescued you from Egypt, that fiery furnace.

Then they sang a new song, “You are worthy to receive the scroll and open its seals, because you were killed. And with your own blood you bought for God people from every tribe, language, nation, and race.

He gave himself to rescue us from everything evil and to make our hearts pure. He wanted us to be his own people and to be eager to do right.

Look after yourselves and everyone the Holy Spirit has placed in your care. Be like shepherds to God's church. It is the flock he bought with the blood of his own Son.

But the Lord, Israel's God, is all-powerful. He created everything, and he chose Israel to be his very own.

Why did you make us turn away from you, our Lord? Why did you make us want to disobey you? Please change your mind! We are your servants, your very own people.

It troubled the Lord to see them in trouble, and his angel saved them. The Lord was truly merciful, so he rescued his people. He took them in his arms and carried them all those years.

Then you will be called, ‘The Lord's Own People, The Ones He Rescued!’ Your city will be known as a good place to live and a city full of people.”

Now those you have rescued will return to Jerusalem, singing on their way. They will be crowned with great happiness, never again to be burdened with sadness and sorrow.

Finally, Lord, you were angry and terribly disgusted with your people.

With your own arm you rescued your people, the descendants of Jacob and Joseph.

Why is it jealous of Zion, the mountain you chose as your home forever?

The Lord blesses each nation that worships only him. He blesses his chosen ones.

You rule from Zion, Lord, and we sing about you to let the nations know everything you have done.

But you, our Lord, chose the people of Israel to be your own, and with your mighty power you rescued them from Egypt.

and prayed: Our Lord, please don't wipe out your people. You used your great power to rescue them from Egypt and to make them your very own.

You did not forget to punish the guilty or listen to the cries of those in need.

You won't turn your back on your chosen nation.

Jerusalem, on your walls I have stationed guards, whose duty it is to speak out day and night, without resting. They must remind the Lord
