When someone stumbles or falls, you give a helping hand.

No one is loyal to God; no one does right. Everyone is brutal and eager to deceive everyone else.

By leading good people to sin, you dig a pit for yourself, but all who live right will have a bright future.

Those proud people have hidden traps and nets to catch me as I walk.

Flattery is nothing less than setting a trap.

and whenever I feel low, you are there to guide me. A trap has been hidden along my pathway.

I have given up hope, and I feel numb all over.

and you are my God. I am deeply discouraged, and so I think about you here where the Jordan begins at Mount Hermon and at Mount Mizar.

But as surely as I live and my power has no limit,

Then, in front of everyone, David sang praises to the Lord: I praise you forever, Lord! You are the God our ancestor Jacob worshiped.

Your power is great, and your glory is seen everywhere in heaven and on earth. You are king of the entire world,

With praises from children and from tiny infants, you have built a fortress. It makes your enemies silent, and all who turn against you are left speechless.

Answer my prayers and use your powerful arm to give us victory. Then the people you love will be safe.
