and you know all our sins, even those we do in secret.

What have I done wrong? Show me, and I will keep quiet.

You people of Judah are so deceitful that you even fool yourselves, and you can't change.

I have more troubles than I can count. My sins are all around me, and I can't find my way. My sins outnumber the hairs on my head, and I feel weak.

I don't know of anything against me, but this doesn't prove I am right. The Lord is my judge.

But if we live in the light, as God does, we share in life with each other. And the blood of his Son Jesus washes all our sins away.

However, only the high priest could go into the second part of the tent, and he went in only once a year. Each time he carried blood to offer for his sins and for any sins that the people had committed without meaning to.

I can't understand all of this! Such wonderful knowledge is far above me.

We are unfit to worship you; each of our good deeds is merely a filthy rag. We dry up like leaves; our sins are storm winds sweeping us away.

You know when I am resting or when I am working, and from heaven you discover my thoughts.

Wash me clean from all of my sin and guilt.

When our sins get us down, you forgive us.

The Lord said to Moses, “Come up on the mountain and stay here for a while. I will give you the two flat stones on which I have written the laws that my people must obey.”

I wish they would always worship me with fear and trembling and be this willing to obey me! Then they and their children would always enjoy a successful life.

Israel, you must carefully obey the Lord's commands.

If you reject God's teaching, you will pay the price; if you obey his commands, you will be rewarded.
