Since the time I was young, enemies have often attacked! Let everyone in Israel say:

When I am in trouble, I pray,

Our Lord, don't forget how we have suffered and been disgraced.

Just thinking of my troubles and my lonely wandering makes me miserable.

I am not conceited, Lord, and I don't waste my time on impossible schemes.

From a sea of troubles I cry out to you, Lord.

The Lord will bless you if you respect him and obey his laws.

Without the help of the Lord it is useless to build a home or to guard a city.

It seemed like a dream when the Lord brought us back to the city of Zion.

Everyone who trusts the Lord is like Mount Zion that cannot be shaken and will stand forever.

The Lord was on our side! Let everyone in Israel say:

Our Lord and our God, I turn my eyes to you, on your throne in heaven.

It made me glad when they said, “Let's go to the house of the Lord!”

I look to the hills! Where will I find help?

and God heard their loud cries. He did not forget the promise he had made to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob,

God did not forget about Noah and the animals with him in the boat. So God made a wind blow, and the water started going down.
