Your wonderful teachings protect me from the insults that I hate so much.

Save me from my sins. Don't let fools sneer at me.

You don't gain anything by being punished for some wrong you have done. But God will bless you, if you have to suffer for doing something good.

This is why we should go outside the camp to Jesus and share in his disgrace.

Then I will have an answer for everyone who insults me for trusting your word.

Even my bones are in pain, while all day long my enemies sneer and ask, “Where is your God?”

Then it will be as clear as the noonday sun that you were right.

Trust the Lord and live right! The land will be yours, and you will be safe.
