Our Lord, you will destroy the power of evil people, but you will give strength to those who are good.

But don't forget to help others and to share your possessions with them. This too is like offering a sacrifice that pleases God.

God is always fair. He will remember how you helped his people in the past and how you are still helping them. You belong to God, and he won't forget the love you have shown his people.

Instruct them to do as many good deeds as they can and to help everyone. Remind the rich to be generous and share what they have.

Take care of God's needy people and welcome strangers into your home.

Evil people will keep on being evil, and everyone who is dirty-minded will still be dirty-minded. But good people will keep on doing right, and God's people will always be holy.

By everything I did, I showed how you should work to help everyone who is weak. Remember that our Lord Jesus said, “More blessings come from giving than from receiving.”

Give your food to the hungry and care for the homeless. Then your light will shine in the dark; your darkest hour will be like the noonday sun.

Share your food with everyone who is hungry; share your home with the poor and homeless. Give clothes to those in need; don't turn away your relatives.

Plant your seeds early in the morning and keep working in the field until dark. Who knows? Your work might pay off, and your seeds might produce.

You have given me the strength of a wild ox, and you have chosen me to be your very own.

You know our Lord Jesus Christ treated us with undeserved grace by giving up all his riches, so you could become rich.

But because Judas was in charge of the money, some of them thought that Jesus had told him to buy something they needed for the festival. Others thought that Jesus had told him to give some money to the poor.

My disciples, I tell you to use wicked wealth to make friends for yourselves. Then when it is gone, you will be welcomed into an eternal home.

Sell what you have and give the money to the poor. Make yourselves moneybags that never wear out. Make sure your treasure is safe in heaven, where thieves cannot steal it and moths cannot destroy it.

You will always have the poor with you. And whenever you want to, you can give to them. But you won't always have me here with you.

Caring for the poor is lending to the Lord, and you will be well repaid.

They will get rich and prosper and will always be remembered for their fairness.

I am the Lord, the God of Israel. I promised to always let your family serve me as priests, but now I tell you that I cannot do this any longer! I honor anyone who honors me, but I put a curse on anyone who hates me.

Hannah prayed: You make me strong and happy, Lord. You rescued me. Now I can be glad and laugh at my enemies.

Instead, give it back before sunset, so the owner can keep warm and sleep and ask the Lord to bless you. Then the Lord your God will notice that you have done the right thing.

There will always be some Israelites who are poor and needy. That's why I am commanding you to be generous with them.

But helpful people can always be trusted to make helpful plans.

My eyes have seen, and my ears have heard the doom and destruction of my evil enemies.

Everything the Lord does is glorious and majestic, and his power to bring justice will never end.

Wisdom can make you rich, but foolishness leads to more foolishness.

But people who obey God are always generous.

There is a time for finding and losing, keeping and giving,
