Bad advice is a deadly trap, but good advice is like a shield.

“Our people defeated Satan because of the blood of the Lamb and the message of God. They were willing to give up their lives.

You obeyed my message and endured. So I will protect you from the time of testing everyone in all the world must go through.

They brag out loud about their stupid nonsense. And by being vulgar and crude, they trap people who have barely escaped from living the wrong kind of life.

I also wanted to know more about all ten of those horns on its head. I especially wanted to know more about the one that took the place of three of the others—the horn that had eyes and spoke with arrogance and seemed greater than the others.

Selfish people cause trouble, but you will live a full life if you trust the Lord.

Troublemakers get in trouble, and their terrible anger will get them nowhere.

If you are proud and conceited, everyone will say, “You're a snob!”

Foolish talk will get you into a lot of trouble.

My enemies are fierce, much worse than lions! They have spears and arrows instead of teeth, and they have sharp swords instead of tongues.

Won't you chop off all flattering tongues that brag so loudly?

You will be sheltered, without fear of hurtful words or any other weapon.

I can tell those proud people, “Stop your boasting! Nothing is hidden from the Lord, and he judges what we do.”

Silence those proud liars! Make them stop bragging and insulting your people.

Without the help of an ox there can be no crop, but with a strong ox a big crop is possible.

Keep what you know to yourself, and you will be safe; talk too much, and you are done for.

Saying foolish things is like setting a trap to destroy yourself.
