Join with them and prepare yourself for the ceremony that goes with the promises. Pay the cost for their heads to be shaved. Then everyone will learn that the reports about you are not true. They will know you do obey the Law of Moses.

If someone suddenly dies near you, your hair is no longer sacred, and you must shave it seven days later during the ceremony to make you clean.

After Paul had stayed for a while with the Lord's followers in Corinth, he told them goodbye and sailed on to Syria with Aquila and Priscilla. But before he left, he had his head shaved at Cenchreae because he had made a promise to God.

God treated us with undeserved grace because of the Son he dearly loves, and so we should praise God.

The next day Paul took the four men with him and got himself ready at the same time they did. Then he went into the temple and told when the final ceremony would take place and when an offering would be made for each of them.

And that's how it should be with you. When you've done all you should, then say, “We are merely servants, and we have simply done our duty.”

The hair of a Nazirite is sacred to me, and as long as you are a Nazirite, you must never cut your hair.

Please do what we ask, because four of our men have made special promises to God.

Then he will sacrifice the ram and offer the wine, grain, and bread.
