They roar and growl like fierce young lions as they grab their victims and drag them off where no one can rescue them.

Enemies roared like lions and destroyed your land; towns lie burned and empty.

Its officials are roaring lions, its judges are wolves; in the evening they attack, by morning nothing is left.

whose strong army will defeat the nation of Assyria. Yes, our leaders will rescue us, if those Assyrians dare to invade our land.

These are the same lions that ferociously attacked their victims, then dragged away the flesh to feed their young.

All people will be terrified. Hands will grow limp; courage will melt away.

The very sight of them is frightening.
