But the foundation God has laid is solid. On it is written, “The Lord knows who his people are. So everyone who worships the Lord must turn away from evil.”

My sheep know my voice, and I know them. They follow me,

The Lord is kind to everyone who trusts and obeys him.

But I, the Lord, won't destroy any of your people who are truly humble and turn to me for safety.

Judah's army won because they had trusted the Lord God of their ancestors.

Everyone who honors your name can trust you, because you are faithful to all who depend on you.

And so, we won't be afraid! Let the earth tremble and the mountains tumble into the deepest sea.

None of you respect the Lord or obey his servant. You walk in the dark instead of the light; you don't trust the name of the Lord your God.
