I, the Lord All-Powerful, am fiercely angry with you leaders, and I will punish you. I care for my people, the nation of Judah, and I will change this flock of sheep into charging war horses.

I give you peace, the kind of peace only I can give. It isn't like the peace this world can give. So don't be worried or afraid.

I, the Lord, will take away war chariots and horses from Israel and Jerusalem. Bows that were made for battle will be broken. I will bring peace to nations, and your king will rule from sea to sea. His kingdom will reach from the Euphrates River across the earth.

Share what you have with seven or eight others, because you never know when disaster may strike.

God will protect you from harm, no matter how often trouble may strike.

He was followed by armies from heaven that rode on white horses and were dressed in pure white linen.

I will use Judah as my bow and Israel as my arrow. I will take the people of Zion as my sword and attack the Greeks.

The Lord said: I will punish Philistia for countless crimes, and I won't change my mind. They dragged off my people from town after town to sell them as slaves to the Edomites.

The Lord said: I will punish Syria for countless crimes, and I won't change my mind. They dragged logs with spikes over the people of Gilead.

I promise that the time will come when I will appoint a king from the family of David, a king who will be honest and rule with justice.

Here is what the Lord says: A cluster of grapes that produces wine is worth keeping! So, because of my servants, I won't destroy everyone.

He will attack like a flood in a mighty windstorm. Nations in the west and the east will then honor and praise his wonderful name.

I am also the one who says, “Cyrus will lead my people and obey my orders. Jerusalem and the temple will be rebuilt.”

But the Lord will still give you proof. A virgin is pregnant; she will have a son and will name him Immanuel.

There are six or seven kinds of people the Lord doesn't like:

I will wipe out every Assyrian in my country, and I will crush those on my mountains. I will free my people from slavery to the Assyrians.

My people will go through an ocean of troubles, but I will overcome the waves and dry up the deepest part of the Nile. Assyria's great pride will be put down, and the power of Egypt will disappear.
