I'll strengthen my people because of who I am, and they will follow me. I, the Lord, have spoken!

Whatever you say or do should be done in the name of the Lord Jesus, as you give thanks to God the Father because of him.

But if you don't want to worship the Lord, then choose here and now! Will you worship the same idols your ancestors did? Or since you're living on land that once belonged to the Amorites, maybe you'll worship their gods. I won't. My family and I are going to worship and obey the Lord!

People of Israel, let's live by the light of the Lord.

When Abram was 99 years old, the Lord appeared to him again and said, “I am God All-Powerful. If you obey me and always do right,

I will praise you, Lord God, for your mighty deeds and your power to save.

In times past, God let each nation go its own way.

Others have ruled over us besides you, our Lord God, but we obey only you.

So you must obey his laws and teachings that I am giving you.”

I am certain, Lord, that you will help your chosen king. You will answer my prayers from your holy place in heaven, and you will save me with your mighty arm.
