The lying prophets have tried to cover up the evil in Jerusalem, but I will tear down the city, all the way to its foundations. And when it collapses, those prophets will be killed, and everyone will know that I have done these things.

You destroyed the nations and seem strong as a mountain, but I am your enemy. I might even grab you and roll you off a cliff. When I am finished, you'll only be a pile of scorched bricks.

I heard the Lord reply, “When I am finished, Jerusalem and the towns of Judah will be piles of ruins where only jackals live.”

The walls of their fortresses will be knocked down and scattered in the dirt.

You have destroyed the fortress of our enemies, leaving their city in ruins. Nothing in that foreign city will ever be rebuilt.

If they go into a walled town, we will put ropes around that town and drag it into the river. We won't leave even one small piece of a stone.

This is a message about Damascus: Damascus is doomed! It will end up in ruins.

You will plant vineyards on the hills of Samaria and enjoy the grapes.
