I could tell that the woman was drunk on the blood of God's people who had given their lives for Jesus. This surprising sight amazed me,

They poured out the blood of your people and your prophets. So you gave them blood to drink as they deserve!”

Watch out for false prophets! They dress up like sheep, but inside they are wolves who have come to attack you.

You lying prophets promise security for anyone who gives you food, but disaster for anyone who refuses to feed you. Here is what the Lord says to you prophets:

It was allowed to fight against God's people and defeat them. It was also given authority over the people of every tribe, nation, language, and race.

These people are filthy minded, and by their shameful and selfish actions they spoil the meals you eat together. They are like clouds blown along by the wind, but never bringing any rain. They are like leafless trees, uprooted and dead, and unable to produce fruit.

Don't be bossy to those people who are in your care, but set an example for them.

that they are headed for hell! They worship their stomachs and brag about the disgusting things they do. All they can think about are the things of this world.

In fact, you let people make slaves of you and cheat you and steal from you. Why, you even let them strut around and slap you in the face.

They want to serve themselves and not Christ the Lord. Their flattery and fancy talk fool people who don't know any better.

You drink their milk and use their wool to make your clothes. Then you butcher the best ones for food. But you don't take care of the flock!

If you tremble when the Lord speaks, listen to what he says: “Some of your own people hate and reject you because of me. They make fun and say, ‘Let the Lord show his power! Let us see him make you truly happy.’ But those who say these things will be terribly ashamed.”

You say to each other, “Let's drink till we're drunk! Tomorrow we'll do it again. We'll really enjoy ourselves.”

Don't be a heavy drinker or stuff yourself with food.

But as this official was leaving, he happened to meet another official, who owed him 100 silver coins. So he grabbed the man by the throat. He started choking him and said, “Pay me what you owe!”

But suppose one of the servants thinks the master won't return until late.

If that happens, the master will surely come on a day and at a time when the servant least expects him.

and said, “The best wine is always served first. Then after the guests have had plenty, the other wine is served. But you have kept the best until last!”
