Out of your heart come evil thoughts, murder, unfaithfulness in marriage, vulgar deeds, stealing, telling lies, and insulting others.

You people of Judah are so deceitful that you even fool yourselves, and you can't change.

Carefully guard your thoughts because they are the source of true life.

The Lord saw how bad the people on earth were and that everything they thought and planned was evil.

But Jerusalem, there is still time for you to be saved. Wash the evil from your hearts and stop making sinful plans,

Get rid of these evil thoughts and ask God to forgive you.

You hurry off to do wrong or murder innocent victims. All you think about is sin; you leave ruin and destruction wherever you go.

Give up your evil ways and your evil thoughts. Return to the Lord our God. He will be merciful and forgive your sins.

They are always thinking up something cruel and evil, and they stir up trouble.

I hate anyone whose loyalty is divided, but I love your Law.

I know that my selfish desires won't let me do anything that is good. Even when I want to do right, I cannot.

Everyone hates senseless fools who think up ways to sin.

All children are foolish, but firm correction will make them change.

“You made me look stupid!” Balaam answered. “If I had a sword, I'd kill you here and now!”

But I tell you if you look at another woman and want her, you are already unfaithful in your thoughts.

These are what make you unclean. Eating without washing your hands will not make you unfit to worship God.
