Give a kind and respectful answer and keep your conscience clear. This way you will make people ashamed for saying bad things about your good conduct as a follower of Christ.

The time is coming when the Lord will make his land fruitful and glorious again, and the people of Israel who survive will take great pride in what the land produces.

Everything the Lord does is glorious and majestic, and his power to bring justice will never end.

You will cover them with shame, just as their bodies are covered with clothes.

Disgrace and confuse all who want me dead; turn away and disgrace all who want to hurt me.

Our Lord, no other gods compare with you— Majestic and holy! Fearsome and glorious! Miracle worker!

If you tremble when the Lord speaks, listen to what he says: “Some of your own people hate and reject you because of me. They make fun and say, ‘Let the Lord show his power! Let us see him make you truly happy.’ But those who say these things will be terribly ashamed.”

Use clean language that no one can criticize. Do this, and your enemies will be too ashamed to say anything against you.
