Pay attention to how you listen! Everyone who has something will be given more, but people who have nothing will lose what little they think they have.

But God said to him, “You fool! Tonight you will die. Then who will get what you have stored up?”

What if I gave away all that I owned and let myself be burned alive? I would gain nothing, unless I loved others.

Sell what you have and give the money to the poor. Make yourselves moneybags that never wear out. Make sure your treasure is safe in heaven, where thieves cannot steal it and moths cannot destroy it.

Everything you were taught can be put into a few words: Respect and obey God! This is what life is all about.
