After Israel had captured the land, they met at Shiloh and set up the sacred tent.

Once a year Elkanah traveled from his hometown to Shiloh, where he worshiped the Lord All-Powerful and offered sacrifices. Eli was the Lord's priest there, and his two sons Hophni and Phinehas served with him as priests.

I will destroy this temple, just as I destroyed the town of Shiloh. Then everyone on earth will use the name “Jerusalem” as a curse word.

God scattered his enemies and made them ashamed forever.

Jeroboam told his wife: Disguise yourself so no one will know you're my wife, then go to Shiloh, where the prophet Ahijah lives. Take him ten loaves of bread, some small cakes, and honey, and ask him what will happen to our son. He can tell you, because he's the one who told me I would become king.

Hannah and Elkanah offered the bull as a sacrifice, then brought the little boy to Eli.

She got ready and left for Ahijah's house in Shiloh. Ahijah was now old and blind,

Then someone suggested, “What about the Lord's Festival that takes place each year in Shiloh? It's held north of Bethel, south of Lebonah, and just east of the road that goes from Bethel to Shechem.”

Later it was given to our ancestors, and they took it with them when they went with Joshua. They carried the tent along as they took over the land from those people that God had chased out for them. Our ancestors used this tent until the time of King David.

There were still seven tribes without any land,

Just before the men left camp, Joshua repeated their orders: “Explore the land and write a description of it. Then come back to Shiloh, and I will find out from the Lord how to divide the land.”

the Israelite men met at Shiloh to get ready to attack the two and a half tribes.

I didn't live in a temple when I brought my people out of Egypt, and I don't live in one now. A tent has always been my home wherever I have gone with them.

Then their descendants conquered the land. You helped them defeat the kings and nations and treat their enemies however they wished.

Then he deserted his home at Shiloh, where he lived here on earth.

when 80 men came down the road toward Mizpah from the towns of Shechem, Shiloh, and Samaria. They were on their way to the temple to offer gifts of grain and incense to the Lord. They had shaved off their beards, torn their clothes, and cut themselves, because they were mourning.

then after the Lord helps Israel capture the land, you can return to your own land. You will no longer have to stay with the others.

If you don't think your land is a fit place to serve God, then move across the Jordan and live with us in the Lord's own land, where his sacred tent is located. But don't rebel against the Lord our God or against us by building another altar besides the Lord's own altar.

The warriors attacked Jabesh in Gilead, and returned to their camp at Shiloh in Canaan with 400 young women.
