The Lord commanded the fish to vomit up Jonah on the shore. And it did.
As soon as he spoke the world was created; at his command, the earth was formed.
The Lord sent a big fish to swallow Jonah, and Jonah was inside the fish for three days and three nights.
I came and called out, but you didn't answer. Have I lost my power to rescue and save? At my command oceans and rivers turn into deserts; fish rot and stink for lack of water.
God said, “I command light to shine!” And light started shining.
God gave the command, and more grasshoppers came than could be counted.
When God gave the command, flies and gnats swarmed all around.
God said, “I command lights to appear in the sky and to separate day from night and to show the time for seasons, special days, and years.
God said, “I command the earth to produce all kinds of plants, including fruit trees and grain.” And that's what happened.
God said, “I command the water under the sky to come together in one place, so there will be dry ground.” And that's what happened.
And that's what happened. God made the dome
Once again the Lord told Jonah
The poor will eat and be full, and all who worship you will be thankful and live in hope.
You, Lord, will save me, and every day that we live we will sing in your temple to the music of stringed instruments.
I alone am the Lord; only I can rescue you.
I, the Lord, have been your God since the time you were in Egypt. I am the only God you know, the only one who can save.
Assyria can't save us, and chariots can't help. So we will no longer worship the idols we have made. Our Lord, you show mercy to orphans.”
