Jeremiah 17:13

You are a spring of water giving Israel life and hope. But if the people reject what you have told me, they will be swept away like words written in dust.

“The Lamb in the center of the throne will be their shepherd. He will lead them to streams of life-giving water, and God will wipe all tears from their eyes.”

The angel showed me a river that was crystal clear, and its waters gave life. The river came from the throne where God and the Lamb were seated.

But no one who drinks the water I give will ever be thirsty again. The water I give will become in that person a flowing fountain that gives eternal life.”

Jesus answered, “You don't know what God wants to give you, and you don't know who is asking you for a drink. If you did, you would ask me for the water that gives life.”

Everything is finished! I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will freely give water from the life-giving fountain to everyone who is thirsty.

But those rebellious sinners who turn against me, the Lord, will all disappear.

But don't be happy because evil spirits obey you. Be happy that your names are written in heaven!

You're our only hope; you alone can save us now. You help us one day, but you're gone the next.

Anyone whose name wasn't written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.

If you tremble when the Lord speaks, listen to what he says: “Some of your own people hate and reject you because of me. They make fun and say, ‘Let the Lord show his power! Let us see him make you truly happy.’ But those who say these things will be terribly ashamed.”

All-Powerful Lord God, those who stay far from you will be lost, and you will destroy those who are unfaithful.

You, my people, have sinned in two ways— you have rejected me, the source of life-giving water, and you've tried to collect water in cracked and leaking pits dug in the ground.

From the heart of Jerusalem the Lord roars like a lion, shaking the earth and sky. But the Lord is a fortress, a place of safety for his people Israel.

It's all your own fault! You stopped following me, the Lord your God,

The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” Everyone who hears this should say, “Come!” If you are thirsty, come! If you want life-giving water, come and take it. It's free!

From Paul. God our Savior and Christ Jesus commanded me to be an apostle of Christ Jesus, who gives us hope.

I am bound by these chains because of what we people of Israel hope for. This is why I have called you here to talk about this hope of ours.

Many of those who lie dead in the ground will rise from death. Some of them will be given eternal life, and others will receive nothing but eternal shame and disgrace.

People of Israel, I'm not doing these things for your sake. You sinned against me, and you must suffer shame and disgrace for what you have done. I, the Lord God, have spoken.

I will forgive you, but you will think about your sins and be too ashamed to say a word. I, the Lord God, have spoken.

I trust you for protection in times of trouble, so don't frighten me.

I, the Lord, have put a curse on those who turn from me and trust in human strength.

You harvest what you plant, whether good or bad.

Good people are remembered long after they are gone, but the wicked are soon forgotten.

Those who brag about the useless idols they worship are terribly ashamed, and all the false gods bow down to the Lord.

Our ancestors trusted you, and you rescued them.

I depend on you, and I have trusted you since I was young.

Keep me from failure and disgrace, but make my enemies fail and be disgraced. Send destruction to make their worst fears come true.

The people of Judah stopped worshiping me and made this valley into a place of worship for Baal and other gods that have never helped them or their ancestors or their kings. And they have committed murder here, burning their young, innocent children as sacrifices to Baal. I have never even thought of telling you to do that.

I am your true pastureland, the one who gave hope to your ancestors. But you abandoned me, so when your enemies found you, they felt no guilt as they gobbled you up.

I will turn against them and no longer let them belong to my people. They will not be allowed to call themselves Israelites or even to set foot in Israel. Then they will realize that I am the Lord God.

and offer you hope. Return to your fortress, because today I will reward you with twice what you had.

In the future there will be a fountain, where David's descendants and the people of Jerusalem can wash away their sin and guilt.

I am mistreated and in pain. Protect me, God, and keep me safe!
