God saved us from the threat of death, and we are sure that he will do it again and again.

But I, the Lord All-Powerful, will rescue and protect them. I will bring peace to their land and trouble to yours.

Weapons made to attack you won't be successful; words spoken against you won't hurt at all. My servants, Jerusalem is yours! I, the Lord, promise to bless you with victory.

All who are cruel and arrogant will be gone forever. Those who live by crime will disappear,

The Lord helps his people and saves them from the wicked because they run to him.

Brutal people may attack and try to kill me, but they will stumble. Fierce enemies may attack, but they will fall.

and his angel has kept me safe. Now I pray that he will bless these boys and that my name and the names of Abraham and Isaac will live on because of them. I ask God to give them many children and many descendants as well.

Then God, who gives peace, will soon crush Satan under your feet. I pray that our Lord Jesus will be kind to you.

Keep us from being tempted and protect us from evil.

Then your cruel enemies will suddenly be swept away like dust in a windstorm.

Love the Lord and hate evil! God protects his loyal people and rescues them from violence.

He will make those cruel people dine on their own flesh and get drunk from drinking their own blood. Then everyone will know that the Lord is our Savior; the powerful God of Israel has rescued his people.

You will drain the wealth of kings and foreign nations. You will know that I, the mighty Lord God of Israel, have saved and rescued you.

I sing praises to you, Lord. You rescue the oppressed from the wicked.

I will rescue them from enemies who could overpower them.

I was held in the courtyard of the palace guards until the day Jerusalem was captured.

Nebuchadnezzar had given the following orders to Nebuzaradan:

“Find Jeremiah and keep him safe. Take good care of him and do whatever he asks.”

The God we worship can save us from you and your flaming furnace.

“But I see four men walking around in the fire,” the king replied. “None of them is tied up or harmed, and the fourth one looks like a god.”
